MK6 260 - Work / Project Van (lots of pics)

Well after many years of duty my 190 mk5 LWB has been sold, needed a load of work for MOT so thought better upgrade to a younger model.

The guy i sold my MK5 to had plans to put the enigine in a 54 plate JUMBO, so a bit will live on.

Mk6 6 2001 SWB 260 75ps (already sent ECU for remap to Martyn @ Vantuner)

Also just bought a set of Saunders Roof Bars from Framemaker (second hand off a fleet sale) £89.95 plus postage.

So the Van

As I bought it


Went for MOT, Passed











Rotten front Wing


Bought some new plates and a holder





Got my roof bars and Beacons fitted also put on front strobes





So next job was to sort out wings and start repairing rust patches and filling ready for some paint when the weather is a bit warmer.

Bought wings, new bumper corners (c/w fog light holes) oh and a new Dewalt angle grinder















Also installed a New AUX Battery and Split Charging Relay to run interior rear lighting, beacons, and inverter.

Other items I have sorted out.

K&N Panel Filter, Cleaned out all inlet manifold, and free off waste gate actuator, Ready for when ECU arrives back from Vantuner

Quick Update

Removed front end ready to respray

Took off and cleaned out EGR, Blanked off, Bolt for EGR were completely ceased so had to cut off, drill out and re tap, bought a set of replacement bolt from ford for £5 ish

Removed Inlet manifold, steam cleaned all the crap out, and a lot of crap there was.

Put in new gaskets, (blue ones) £28 from ford

Put in my K&N Panel Filter

Going to refit today.

Waiting for my ECU back from Vantuner.
