i might take the skip gear off the smiley and convert the skip gear to a roll on roll off to put on the red truck, wot you think
so may have the smiley up for sale soon, 12 months mot 3 months tax, new wings/arches/respray last year :D

I like the look of that, but why have you cut the front off?

Nice looking bin you had made, I'm toying with the idea of getting a hook loader on a Mk 7 too with the link tip gear, it's supposed to pull up to 2 ton on board but can it still tip at that weight? I have a tipper that struggles at just over 1.5 tons when tipping, so hows your behaving?
Cheers Paul.

That's nice.

I used to fit hookloaders to 8 wheelers for Maclift and Telehoist, I did quite a few skip loaders too, I miss that job

Does the front lift when you tip or have you got rams to stop it?
If it aint broke, have a fiddle, it soon will be...

It's got to be around 2.3 to 2.6 ton unladen I would have thought! but really is a nice looking truck. My steel caged tipper with tail lift is 2670 kilos unladen so can't carry much legally either. :? But taking this into consideration still very tempted to get one to add to my rubbish removal business as I could drop the bin off and let the boys load it while collecting or delivering another, but would have to keep clear of builders waste though because of the weight issue.

don't know what it weighs in at yet mate as i'm still working on it, iv'e took the skip gear off the smiley and making it into a roll on roll off so i can do a bit of everything with just the one truck, fitted led hamburger lights and sidemarkers and finally found a sport kit to tidy the front end up still loads to do :D

Well I've just bought mine it's an 07 transit hookloader with link tip gear, pick it up Wednesday. No bins included in sale so been eagerly googling for bins so any heads up for bin fabricators would be much appreciated.
