My new Connect

Postby Drizz » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:03 pm

As my Mk6 has broke yet again, i picked up another addition, and im sure will become another ongoing project!

The interior was disgusting so i spent an hour cleaning it up, but itll need more yet:

First purchases will be matts and steering wheel. Then itll need lowering and some wheels, then colour coded arches and bumpers. Then a quicker engine. My god its slow LOL.
As far as lowerings concerned, i presume its flipped rear axle and lowered fiesta springs?
Are these 5 x 108 fitment? So Mondeo specs?
What about the steering wheel? Fiesta/connect/fusion only?

Im off to search the forum now but any info would be appreciated!

Marked where it'll be cut and turned 90 deg

And now the seats can go back more:

Nice van 8) The lwb connect is suprisingly large, have a look at the height difference with you mk6  I had a 05 t230 lx 90ps tdci connect before my sportvan and I loved that van ! Absolute work horse and took everything I chucked at it whilst never skipping a beat 8) Check your spare wheel winder now whilst the weather is ok'ish instead of 3am in the snow and then finding it doesn't work  Get on the connect section those boys know them inside out and like a few mods 8)

Well today i collected some of my facelift parts:

Image

Just need rear arches, and rear end caps.
When colour coding the fog surrounds, have you that have done it, melted them off and reattached, or masked and painted?
Also i need the little bumper bits.
As far as the rear bumper goes, is there a little grommet for the towing eye hole? Also do the rear parking sensors have washers/seats that go between them and the bumper itself?
Thanks in advance....

It's a 110! There's a full build thread on that too but it's been going on 3 or 4 years lol
