mk6 work van

Postby Jamysumm » Thu Jul 11, 2013 7:53 pm

So this is my mk6 transit its a 85 t280, its a works van and I'm a stonemason so as you'll know this will not be a show winner ha.

Image

beautiful van had it since it was 3 year old with only 23k on it and fsh now as I type its on 101,563 and its never missed a beat. well apart from the time it tried to set its self on fire ...

here it is trying to cross a burn.

Image

First mod which cost £5 by the way.

Image

Then I parked it really close to marks van.

Image

Second mod

Image

That cost me £20 for facelift rear lights.

Gave it a wee polish.

Image

Put half a ton of sand in it.

Image

took it too edition38

Image

on the way back from ED38 I wanted to get a better mpg so I talked to the revo guys and they said they would map it for £300 so I thought about it and this was the outcome.

Image

It did not improve the mpg in anyway.

This is me about to wash it with a blue brush and probs fairy liquid

Image

then onto its third mod

Image

that got repaired for free.

this was it a couple of weeks ago with 756kg in the back

Image

that's it so far I have an update coming very soon

sooo recently I got some vinyl on it .....

Image

yellow light may come off now, only reason I have it on is because I do a lot of work on mates cars and recovering them also ... but I might just make them removable like there meant to be instead of permanent like they are at the moment

Wee update coming soon as after being promised a new van in april the boss (my dad who lost his licence by doing something so f*** stupid and wrote his van and 4 other cars off and has had numerous small crashes) has changed his mind and feels he deserves the new van probably as a reward for being the biggest arse in the uk.

so being the responsible one who has had to drive most of the day everyday in this van has decided its time for it to die so it will be getting its arse cained everywhere . But knowing my luck it wont die , its been a great van never let us down but I think the heater matrix is leaking slightly and it went into limp mode the other day while over taking on the a84 which was fun . Its fine now just turned it off and back on but anyway aye

I have more fun driving the "old" scruffy van than my nice shiny one, much less stress and worry. ;)
