Robs Green Meanie !!!

Postby robbie.cee » Mon Jan 27, 2014 7:02 pm

So the cats finally out the bag, well done to all those who correctly guessed the right answer.... blue peter badge each, congrats!

Yes i am of course referring to my new motor- FordBoyNicks lean green mean machine (minus wheels-wellers will be going on soon-jonno dont worry  )

Two hours sorting the sunken driveway slabs one side right in the middle...before the van would be safely backed in over the top of it...
(basically poor drainage + poss broken drain running thru garden + sh1t load of rain recently + 5.5 tonnes of mk5 n mk7 = very unhappy badly built drive  )

got a few silly bits done the other day after driveway shenanegans, like fitting wind deflectors and steering wheel didnt get too much done as still in awe and bloody cold so kept locking up :(

still heres a few shots...

So i got a few toys yet to fit, stereo be next task... well actually no, throttle position sensor is next job,
reason i been off the forum weekend ish was i been delving deep into granada scorpio wiring and forums re running issues and they (and the facts) point heavily to either a faulty TPS or equally likely (after transplants apparently on granny forum) two outer wires might need reversing as it would seem (to me) that the tps thinks full throttle is idle and idle is pedal to metal...
Either way, easy job to see if it is/isnt tps at fault..

And yes, before the hanging occurs, Nick said to me ages ago re this issue so i knew exactly what i was getting into (bloody nice green van, thats what  8) )

so once thats sorted,
speedo drive cable,
Prime/seal inside floor and welds not already done
board and carpet lower panel areas
air horns (poss under bonnet as theres loads of room(?),
stereo,
pa,
cb,
rear seats and SEATBELTS,
a few tastefully positioned leds outside (only if i can hide em up good)
might even do a bass bin come storage area too

plus i gotta dig out, build foundation for shed n standing area for van next to house, and build a car port to keep her dry!

Great to see the "green machine" with you Rob, stamp your own personally on it. Nice interior and a few touches? Are you going to lower it?
