A combination of the dreaded tin worm and roads littered with pot holes caused damage to the rear spring hangers. the passenger side pushed up the ply floor and the rear wheel had moved back around 3 inch!!!

after lifting one side of the ply floor and setting to with the angle grinder i had a reasonable hole in the floor.

the rot had started to extend into the main chassis rail so it was cut out on on side and a length of 100x100x3mm box was fitted. anothe piece was fitted into the sill.

new cross brace is from 80x80x5mm box section with a 30mm overlap underneath. the new section for the spring hanger will overlap the full width of the cross braces.
once i've got the front spring hanger mount sorted then i need to do the rear on the passenger side and then sort the drivers side front hanger which is in a better state than this.
