Thanks for the kind words people.

Today was a great day, we finally received the back ordered intermediate side panels, been waiting over six weeks for these :!: They are only produced in small batches once there is enough interest, we did have to purchase a 'few' just to secure the order :wink:

I will get some pics of the panels up this weekend.

More progress over the last few days and finally some more pictures :D

The intermediate and lower sill sections were assembled on the vehicle, temporarily secured with self tapping screws. We then secured the two repair panels above the intermediate sill section;

And viewed from the front;

The complete assembly of five parts was then removed from the van in one 'lump' and spot welded together;

The inside of the assembly was then painted with a corrosion resistant paint;

The side is now attached to the van :D
More pictures to follow.

All the best work is done in situations like that (well mine is :lol: ) and Picasso and his pals didn't exactly work in tidy pitches :)

Some pictures of the new side attached to the van.

The assembled side was re-fitted to the van, again using self tapping screws, this ensures alignment is maintained;
Image

The vertical join between the side assembly and the floor was then spot welded to match factory techniques.
The lower part of the panel reinforcer was fabricated and replaced, then a 'generous' coating of rust preventative paint was applied;
Image

Although this part will not be visible once the interior is re-fitted it is good practice to retain 'factory appearance',
"If you can see it has been repaired, then it's not been done properly" :lol:

Thanks for all the encouragement people, I do hope this thread will encourage others.
