Stretch

Postby Muttley » Thu Oct 30, 2014 9:57 pm

Very pleased with my new (to me) truck, its a world away from the Mk2's I am used to. Very good on fuel and can take the weight, here is his first job

Image

I replaced the ramps supplied with the truck for theses H/D alloy ones, much wider and lighter :)

On goes Volvo V70, about as big as I can carry I reckon

Image

Image

He took it well and still managed 26MPG at a steady 65MPH :D

I fitted a sunvisor, some grille LED's

Image

Replaced the dealer number plates too

Image

Today I fitted a nice big locker for my nice new straps, brackets made up..

Image

Welded to chassis and support brackets welded..

Image

Image

Its soooo nice not to have any bloody rust on the chassis :D Locker slides onto these brackets..

I am going to build a flyer for the LED lightbar and LED worklights, loving LED's by the way, glad to have come into the 21st Century :D :D

yeah much as we all like the old stuff, it really is hard to live with on a daily basis, especially when it is your livelihood at stake. Besides, I think it is much more fun to drag the "classic" stuff out in the weekend when the sun is shining :)
