My MK4 Camper

Postby trantom » Thu Mar 12, 2015 8:11 pm

Hi,

i'm new to the forum. I bought this MK4 Camper 3 years ago.
I made some repairs and service and a lot of welding during the last years.
Also replaced the seats by a set of Recaro's, modded the dash backlight and some other things which are still in progress or planned for the next weeks.

Here are some pics how it looked when i got it.

Got it back from the painter last week, but need to mount the plastic parts, lights, ... etc.
I'll post some more pics from time to time

Bought a set of MOMAN tacho gauges some weeks ago.
The needles were painted with red phosphorescent colour.
Also replaced the backlights for the switches by blue led's.

Headlight adjustment is required by law since 1990 here in germany, first reg is 94.
The tailgate window is heated but it's useless for me as i cannot see much because of the big back rest of the rear bench.

New 6,5x16 MAK Fuoco alloys in ice black, refinished:

Also a set of custumized dome stickers as center caps:
Orange colour became slightly darker but not as much as it seems on the pic.

Still waiting for rear bumper, awning case and a CORNETT sun visor now :(

They look smart, going to look really good when your done, maybe you'll make it to Transitmania one year.
I have been looking for the headlight motors for several years for my mk3, there are so rare here. I do look for them on ebay.de, but I've never seen any.

Still waiting for the awning cloth, mounting tyres and alloys is planned for the next week.
Also tinting rear and side loading door windows planned for the next week.

While waiting, ordered some more customized dome stickers, this time with chrome effect.

looks a bit dark (red) on the picture but it depends on the amout and direction of light how it looks. Colour is really perfect.
