Grabbed N/S rear door lower catch from local salvage yard.

Image

After fitting it. Went round with good old TAR-FOE (Tar & adhesive remover). Cleaned off the old glue left over from signwriting.

Then it bloody rains

Image

Image

I thought I will get on & assemble front bumper ready for fitting. Now I have finished painting it.

Image

Then realised bracket on front bumper corners are shot. :(

Image

Manage to source a pair being dropped of tomorrow afternoon.

So decided to crack on & get rest of interior in.

Image

Image

Back is getting empty (Was full) :P

Image

Why has it gone dark :?: Lost all track of time - it's 10:40pm  Time to pack up for the day

Image

Jobs left to do :--

Fit Front bumper once brakets have arrived
Repair dent in O/S centre lower panel.
Finish dash wiring including electrics for towbar.
buff up bodywork using G3
Valet interior

Finally mk7 rear axle - awaiting rear handbrake cables that have been ordered.

Does look good, and I also use G3, it isn't all that great on dents though

Are the rear doors being swapped out too?

When to change headlight switch for one with front fog lights. Then realised replacement is from a Mondeo mk3 & is longer.

Image

That's no problem for me......

A mini tutorial on how to modify a standard mk7 headlight switch without front fog lights. Using parts from a Mondeo mk3 switch with front fog lights

Firstly disassemble Mondeo mk3 switch

Image

Do the same to mk7 one

Image

Fit 2 grey parts from Mondeo mk3 switch to mk7's switch casing - simply clips into place

Image

Using a small screw driver or any other sharp object.
Scratch into the black surface on mk7's switch front panel, until you expose white backing. - As if you're drawing the front fog light sign.

Image

Then reassemble mk7 switch using components from, the Mondeo one (Including circuit board)

Image

Then plug is it & test - TA-DA. You now have a functioning headlight switch with front / rear fog lights with tell tale lights
