Fitted front towing eye, slam panel etc...





O/S, N/S wings & screen trims fitted.



Also finished of side loading door & painted front N/S door.



Just I finished refitting glass, trim etc to N/S front door. The heavens opened up

I really like the conversion, however not sure if I ever decide to do it to my van. The Mk7 dash and front is something I like much more than Mk6's.

It does makes the van look good with the benefit of a good engine as opposed to a MK7 engine. I could have bought a Mk7 easily but loads of my friends have had engine problems with the engine so, it was a no,no for me.

I have been busy the last couple weeks moving into a bigger shop
Our poor old Tourneo has had no tender loving care for a couple weeks I kind of gave up a bit because of the tailgate & rear panel (x member) But i'm not going to give up as spent quite a bit on it & i know that by the time you have done some work to it paul it will look amazing (Can't wait)

Removed old mk6 floor cover late this afternoon - once it had stopped raining

Uncovered a couple of areas that will required welding - something I can easily sort out.

Yesterday fitted mk7 gearshift cable mounting bracket to gearbox then cables themselves.



Only to find that gearshift cables are too short



After checking part no. Cable are indeed for a 5 speed, BUT rear wheel drive



Removed broken rear bumper to find that there's no bumper reinforcement



Removed damaged top section...



Which resulted in floor levelling out





& now rear doors line up without needing adjustment



Unfortunately mk6 A/C condenser don't fit mk7 radiators

Mk7 radiator support fitted along with radiator.





Bonnet & bumper reinforcement bolted into place.





Scuttle & bonnet sound proofing fitted.



Have not fitted mk7 air duct yet. As interior heating assembly is going to be replaced tomorrow.

Correct gearshift cables arrived today



Also collected replacement heater assembly (non A/C)



& mk7 complete rear axle was dropped off
