Mk4 camper swb "violet" progress

Thought would include a few pics from our on going project , bought with mot and and massive history file with every mot from new it's a great little van,it started as a mini bus and was factory converted in 1997 I have recipt for 4700 quid for it ,but was off road for two years in 2008 and seems now it has caught up with her, wheel arches surprisingly are not to bad but it's undet side that has been head ache, chassis rails,suspension mount front, spring hangers,and inner and outer cils both sides ,but in between work and going on holiday on her the welding is done, pretty pleased as never welded before but seen others do my old fords(transits,capris) over the years so decided to have a go and I am pleased with outcome,

As you can see previous owners have bodged it, was a large amount of this foam present,
Only job left to do is rear shoes and wheel cylinder which I am starting this afternoon then it's mot time next Friday,roll: starts on the button every time and at 139,000 barley run in, had few transits but never a camper so enjoying her very much,plan is when threw mot to concentrate on the final finish of paint but no rush as summers here and we away in her most of time we not at work,also done a bed mod too which I will put link for,worked very well indeed as I am 6ft and misses 5,10 so was a bit tight going accross the van

That is a fair lump of expanding foam, even bigmonty bodgery doesn't extend that far.

At least it is getting some proper treatment now.
