My new (2011) ex AA mk7

Postby mafty » Sun Jan 31, 2016 11:54 pm

I bought my new van 2 weeks ago and got started on it straight away.
101k on the clock, with full MOT and AA service history.

Here's how it looked when I picked it up.

First job was colour coding the mirror backs.

Then came colour coding the centre front section (hence the temporary one in the previous pic).

18" Black alloy wheels and anthracite bonnet stripes came next, along with yellow and black badges.
Also got the V5 back from the DVLA so have transferred my private plate over too.

I have bought a spare set of headlights and have started splitting them down to paint the insides black (or maybe yellow? Comments please!)

Have also bought high spec clocks and indicator stalk, along with cruise control steering wheel.
Will upload pics as I can...

Smart that mate.

I'd do the insides black if it was me, you can't go wrong with black, yellow may be a bit over kill.

But its your van!

Yeah, I've done one black already, but was just fishing for opinions. Curious to know what yellow would look like though.
Anyone done it?

I was thinking of doing mine red as per van, there's a million and one black ones around. Terribly common don't you known  . Or I may just leave well alone.

I'll have to wait until the weather improves as my spray booth is a tent in the back garden  .

Do it in the kitchen - I'm sure SWMBO won't mind!
