Lucifer in progress

Postby ned » Fri Mar 11, 2016 2:19 pm

So I thought maybe I should start a progress report for "nedforceone" or the "bitch" as I sometimes call it.
I will put some pictures on of how it looks now and what I have already done plus what I plan to do.
All opinions and advice welcome many thanks. N

Cheers mate,
Started subtle mods, try to do something different.

Side window from mk5 doesn't fit flush but I have plans for that.
Rear corner upper bumper from a van with normal doors so been bodged till I can find the right one.
Drivers door needs raising up as its rubbing on door sill.
Dented sill underneath hmmm has this been dropped of a high kerb same on other side.

Plans in no particular order:

Fix all dents, rust and scratches.
Weld steel to the sides where its recessed to make a flush look (window will then fit flush).
Fit side window to sld.
Re-spray the van in collage blue 92.
Fix trim pieces.
Build and fit side exhaust one each side.
Alloy wheels? Possibly at some point.
Airbrush company details.

Inside plans:
change rear seats for a bench of 3 instead of 2 from mk7 and 1 from mk5.
Insulate and board the roof and fit roof lining.
Re-board behind rear seats.
Fit a tv and xbox in rear seats (for the kids :D )
Re-trim all seats and door cards.
Fit carpet and line middle walls.
Re-board and rack rear load space for work gear.
Finish moving radio to roof.
Fit reversing camera.

Cant think of anything else yet. N

Were headlight washer jets an option on the transit or you stolen them from another model?

Like your idea of simple and subtle mods. Same sort of line I'm wanting to go down. OE+ style to make the van that should've come out the factory

Head light washer jets were pilfered from a fiat stilo that was going to the scrapyard, I removed the rear wash wipe from the van and used the pipe to link to the jets, they could do with being a bit more powerful but did remove some of the road salt over the winter I was thinking of fitting headlight wipers as well. I am trying to make it different to other vans but not to obvious. N

Thought I would update some pictures so far

The surprising find after removing the plastic step covers, very clean for a 13 year old van.

Boarded the roof above the tea seats just needs carpet.

New radio position just need to tidy up the front and carpet the roof lining.

Waiting for the rear camera to fit in the screen where the radio was.

Changed the dash colour from silver to blue.

Front wing removed not too bad.

New front wing required it show how they rust from behind.

Nice blue dash bits.
