Went to the shop and got a connector plate to hold the tow socket on with and I asked for a 13 to 7 but they only had a 7 to 13 :?

So I bought a 13 pin socket. :P 4.99 what could go wrong?

loot wrote:No it's the same kit. I paid 130 quid for my wiring kit just to give me a tow bar wiring and that's the issue we're talking about. All I need now is a cable trailer board, I have 1 but my converter is the opposite way around so I just need a converter, 5 quid.

The wireless kit needs to fit in cars that have no tow socket or wiring and minimal adapting.

Requirements, pairing wireless between transmitter and lights, universally fitting on any car either obd or plug and play connection to the rear lights.

I like this idea right but, What happens if you accidentally pair it to a car sitting beside you or sumfink? Like say BJT is behind you in the shaguar and you pair your trailer lights to his car? You’d be tootling along the motorway at 45mph but the trailer would be braking and indicating all over the place. Or is that just me bein stoopit?

 I've seen some ppl driving like that anyway probably pished

No you'd have a way that they pair to each other maybe a button that you press like wps on WiFi hubs, once it is initially paired it will only work with those lights. Hey for 250 I'll pair them before they sell, maybe a bridge or fuseable link.

Anyway, my trailer board works but some thieving cnut has nicked 2 of the left bulbs

Hi Loot/bigjohnthomas.

Sorry about resurrecting history but wondered if you could help?

Thought i'd go down the rabbit hole of getting my mirrors to fold when locking/unlocking after reading through this thread (pages 58-65....) so looking at your pictures/diagrams and reading all about it I've got a relay/and a smaller reed relay as well as a capacitor just in case. Now I am struggling to find these wires I need to tap into. The mirror switch is fine but I'm not sure where the Door actuator connector plug is?
In the picture there are 3 switches, Door Window, Door Mirror and Lock/Unlock switch.

Looking at your post/picture where is this one located...

Yes that is what you see when you unplug the door locking actuator.

I fitted a reed switch in the mirror too and possibly a diode and now it works perfectly.
Maybe we should make a kit that will do it plug and play bjt?

lol, thanks guys.
Maybe I should just fit it in the mirror housing rather than the door?

So the door locking actuator....all I can see is the wires as per my 1st picture. The second picture posted is taken from your earlier post.

I'll take another look see in the morning but where might this plug be located on your vans? Excuse my ignorance but I take it that it is in the door somewhere....

Yes so drivers door panel off and right side where the latch is unplug that to find the pin then you can splice into the pin.

Looks tidy. If you get an old school reed switch with magnet you can cleverly fit it to the mirror so when it closes you have a reference of what the mirror is doing and as the pulse is bi directional you can use the Reed switch with a diode to stop the mirror opening when you press the unlock button multiple times 8) it's either open or closed but when the mirror is closed it closes the reed switch so yes open is open reed switch so multiple open it won't open again and the diode stops the power pulse going the same way.

Makes sense when you think about it. :?

Mine without the reed switch used to be wrong all the time you'll see

Lol, still have it, been elbow deep in other things this week, haven't got the point of emergency sell yet and if bjt isn't in a hurry etc. For now we're ok.
Need to get the lair now as I need to convert it into somewhere I can work on red, I can work on the street but if there's no need to then I'll get it in the lair. Also waiting to see how boys man plays the endgame out. He needs to make me redundant or sack me.

Sat waiting for my wall tiles that I ordered 3 days ago with next day delivery but 1.5days later got a phone call saying they don't have them in stock would I take bigger ones?
No wonder brexit will go wrong with these idiots running the place
