The clunkers that I was used to driving many years ago could be started off in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear, whichever one you fancied, and you could just leave it in 3rd if you were driving in traffic around town. They also never noticed whether they were loaded or not, (except when you went to use the brakes ) but .......................................................







................... they wouldn't do 90+ (on your own private road!), nor would they give a hard time to passing boy racers. You certainly never even thought about lane 3 on the motorway

4 something i think (fwd) the van is gutless compared to the mk7, i could really boot it if needed and it pulled passed anything, this 1 i drop it down and it slows the engine down nearly stalling it lol

It will feel slow and gutless there's a 45ps difference, that's like the power of a small chav car Go get it vantuned. N

It needs lower profile tyres on 18s, i need to see what weight is in the back with that racking, maybe very heavy although doesn't feel heavy. And it wants mapping with the 155ps map, maybe get the limiters reorganized?

So my n/s lamp is smashed at the back, adjuster motors fallen off their perch etc but the light is usable for now.

No indicator, i looked at the bulb and wiring which looked undamaged, no time to strip the cables back etc maybe the lamp pinched a wire inside

Ok loot, call on all your intellect and engineering and electronic powers and repair it so it is roadworthy..... Roger that.
So the plan was to feed a + cable to the mirror blinker and that's what i did,tied it into that and the lamp bulb, turned on the flashers and low and behold the sidelight is flashing i did wonder the other day why the indicator bulb was so small

I removed the actual indicator bulb and it was broken, replaced it now and removed the bodge i made and all is well.

I'm such a pleb today

I blame the interference.

I know of a sparky who was going to rewire 10 lights because none were working

10 new lamps later they all worked

I did something similar, once, fannying around with the non-working fog lights on the Sierra, checking fuses, wiring, relays, and switches.
Eventually I took out the lamp units, only to find that both bulbs had blown
