And after all this, people still believe it only costs £50 excess on there insursance and honestly don’t think it effects their premium

That’s got to cost hundreds?

I paid say 450 insurance, this screen was £75 excess, the glass from Ford is no less than £300 I'm sure, then the pay for the 2 guys with 2 vans to fit it etc.

They said they had 7 jobs

So the insurance money from me is spent, I still have the rest of the year to be covered and hopefully nothing goes wrong regarding a claim.

I have never claimed a window before though, but did bump someone so I have had to notify the insurance that I've claimed in the last 5 years.

Incidentally.

The car I bumped which claimed on my insurance to repair the I couldn't see anything on the back bumper.

Well he wrote the car off

My mrs has the Peugeot 2008 on a 15 plate and it says the same.

Also I believe that for cars you can look on auto trader app and it'll show up the cat, doesn't do vans though.

£90 excess for my last two, with different insurance companies. Uninsured van I bought with a tree through the windscreen only cost me £130 from a company that did an 80 mile round trip to fit it. With that level of excess it probably costs the insurance company nowt.

Took my van to ford for the image sensor calibration. Told them that the window people didn't fit the plastic cover and could they fit it - not done. They also said they couldn't find any pas fluid leak so it kills like I had fixed it. They also couldn't detect a clonk when bringing up the clutch fast which I think is just the gearbox mount needs checking but I'd hoped for a second opinion.

You can cut the atmosphere with a knife when you go there, it's as if they're expecting you to kick off  hmm.

And the electric doors let you walk right upto them then open inwards on you.

The whole experience of visiting them is very nerve wracking imo.

Got out of there as quick as I could, happy to fix my own van and that's probably it for me going again tbh, all in the name of keeping the service history stamped in the book and keeping the insurance happy, it is devaluing every day as all vehicles do, and I will do all future servicing with Ford parts and keep the quicko receipts, you think that'll satisfy any potential buyers if need be that I still it?

I think if you service it yourself you are more inclined do it with more care and attention than someone to who it is just a job and has no personal attachment to the vehicle. I work for a main dealer and I see first hand that attention to detail is sometimes lacking. So to answer your question, I think I wouldn't have any qualms buying a vehicle knowing the owner had looked after it himself fitting genuine parts. :D

New interior bulbs why not, cree led and i got 2 front push in and front festoon, 3 cab rear push in, and rear 2 festoon 1 a bit shorter so I bent the tabs so it fits the cargo rear square. Have 2 push in ones left lol I wonder if they are for foot Wells? Do we have stagnation sidelight push in ones on the front of the 15 plate limited? Drls and beam benders so it's that a no? Might check.
Should save if from flattening the battery.

Also fitted my windscreen plastic cover where the window fitters couldn't :?

Also washed the van

Thar she blows me hearties :P

Nice van that is.... Mercedes? :P 8)

Mine was like that. Hey, you know paint is porus right and water etc penetrates it if left and that causes rust right, well traffic film is oil right which stops water yes so in theory protects the paint right?

So traffic film v wax?
