Well there's no way those crank pulley bolts are coming off :? Used old faithful my impact wrench and nothing, i hope power all never glued them on :?

Also fitted my brand new headlights, there's about 5mm of extra adjustment needed for the n/s 1:-( poorly designed these customs

How anyone could appreciate these customs is beyond me they are absolutely shite, and the thing that makes it worse is that they are worse than vans from 15 years ago, why?, because back then you could accept that they are shite! There's absolutely no excuse in this day and age.

This 1 is 125ps, the gears are just plain wrong, when you are in second and going slow you want to change down to 1 so you can go off but it won't go into 1 because it's too fast, but then you bring the clutch up and the van actually labours to the point of stalling and that's even when you floor the accelerator, the only way around this Is to get angry and Rev like fook with the clutch down then slam the clutch as in trying to wheel spin, which of course results in the front wheels spinning but you are in part turn so now you've also got torque steer and it is marginal that the wheels want to bounce. Man this is absolutely appalling.

I need a remap asap this piece of junk is wrong on so many levels, it's actually like those clown cars you see at the circus :?

I've actually stalled it a few times pulling out at junctions in second, before anyone says go faster well i refuse to drive around dangerously in this heap.

The car is correct and as it should be, nothing is wrong geometrically speaking, it's just a pile of fwd junk and if i can't get it sorted then I'll get it crushed and keep the cube on my drive as a keep sake

I've mentioned this before, but no-one else has ever mentioned it; these modern vehicles are all over geared, probably so that they can claim good fuel consumption, and low emissions, or something, but it doesn't work in real life because you cant get a fully loaded van to pull from 1500rpm, or to accelerate from 60 in top gear without changing down
I noticed this on the Mk6 when I fitted the bigger tyres, effectively lowering the diff ratio from (4.56 down to about 4.11) It became much more important to change down to 2nd when negotiating a turning, and it wouldn't accelerate uphill in 5th gear when loaded.
With a lower ratio, fuel consumption is actually worse due to you needing to use the gears more, and not being able to use top gear except on a motorway.

I would bet that if you could raise the diff ratio by about 10% it would be so much nicer to drive

Agreed, but to put mine into context I may as well have gears 1456  it really is that bad  the mk7 pulled you back into your seat and you could be forgiven for nearly all gear/speed mistakes, I could do 50+in 3rd and be happy with that not thinking ice for to change gear.

This is OK when you floor first and through each gear with the revs up but Regular driving at lower speeds isn't possible.

Piece of crap lol.

I'll film it sometime. :-)

Sounds like the gear ratios are all wrong with the 6 speed box, but I still say that raising the diff ratio would make it better, and then you could probably use 2nd for starting off, unless loaded or pointing uphill
