Some of you may remember me as the guy who put the wanted on ebay to try and find my old blue camper van transit KFB 431J.

well only now i have managed to get onto the site.
i bought a mk1 ci autohomes coachbuilt thats been standing for a few years and need a lot of work. hope to have it all done in 4weeks maximum. lets see.

van as found brought home.

after i removed some stupid large lorry style mirrors off the doors.

desperately need a scuttle panel as this one is beyond repair.

spent sunday scraping off loose paint and removed the drivers seat and carpet too find rust rust rust.
pictures following shortly, hopefully start welding this evening.

items needed soon.

scuttle panel
two mirror glasses
diesel bonnet
lower panel (diesel behind bumper)
drivers door window runners
early mk1 steering wheel
brake master cylinder seal kit
shame its not tax exempt though

thanks for that ive already painted some off the roof cream (pictures this evening), hoping to get the welding on the floor pan done this evening and get the seat back in ive decided on colur scheme for it.
its not as bad as the rubbish sherpa i did last year although i had all winter to do it. they are very cramped and narrow compared to transit especially for a tall person.

your caper loks like it was a factory diesel dont see many of those! i see somebody has fitted the overdrive as well 8) what engine is in it now????

mk3 2.5di with the 4speed overdrive. very nice it is too.

i did win another mk1 transit camper off ebay but because i could not collect it straight away the owner scrapped it out of spite, you all may remember it on ebay a blue T plate mk1 diesel with same body parked in hedge. think there a picture somewhere on here of it. in ebay section

found it, i won it the second time for £200.

when i contact and he eventually replied about 10days after my messages he told me its been scrapped as he need the space.
