Very nice build, love the wheels, what wheels are they exactly and what modifications had to be done exactly to fit?

Okay so they are Land Rover Defender Wellers... 165mm by 5, how do you make them 160mm by 5 using those plates exactly?

Those metal plates are to make the wheels hubcentric other wise your putting all the weight on the wheel studs  now yes the land rover modulars/Weller's are 165 pcd but as the land rover wheel studs are thicker then transit studs the wheels do fit without redrilling, just make sure you get the centres welded in.

Glad to see you had centres welded in to your modulars...

Ned because you said that above, I'm wondering, have people been fitting these without welded centres? I wouldn't do it if I got them, but curious...

Yes, yes they have  there's a guy near me who has modular wheels on his mk7 without the centres, one day he's going to go through a pot hole and sheer the wheel nuts off  safely first, reduce the centre hole to fit transit hubs, I got the 5" diameter steel discs off eBay for about 10sovs for 4 then had the 36mm (think it's 36) holes drilled before I welded the discs to the wheels :D

People fit land rover modulars or wellers but they need redrilling and centres welding in, land rover wheels are 5 x 165 pcd transit wheels are 5 x 160 pcd so not a straight fit. N

Stalking  so a while ago you wrote that on one of your posts lol, so did you get yours re drilled or just the centres welded in? Earlier you said they don't need re drilling, did you later discover that doing the centres is enough?

Why don't these modulars have the extra small holes all the way around like the ones in this thread?

Pre drilled centres, smashed it, I was thinking that was gonna be hard to measure and get hold of lol

Also you call them 7 spokes, but they have 8 spokes, why is that?

Another thing, the smallest holes in the other set are like little studs, instead of actual holes which is what they look like on the wheels in this thread... can the studs be knocked out or something?

Actually maybe I'm wrong the last pic of the wheels on the lowered van look like studs now when you zoom in...

So I've not been on here for a while.

Not fitted the arches yet. A job I was going to get a mate to help with that haven't got around to doing yet. Was only going to fit incase I got stopped but as that hasn't happened yet, I've not felt the need to chase it up :x

Need to start doing bits on it again. Race season ended so I'm using it even less and now its always blocked in on the driveway I cba moving stuff to get it out
