Another eBay purchase

Image

£45 which I thought was a bit of a bargain seeing what other sets go for. Especially as they'll need the plates welding in and sandblasting and painting/powdercoating, it seemed daft paying a lot for some. Not 100% sure on what colour to go for yet but I quite fancy white on white.
Then just need to sort the suspension out

Although the plan is to go for 195/65/16, I may have to test fit just to see what they look like with these on

Van goes in on Tuesday for repairs and then possibly a few quiet months update wise

Ford ####ed up and sent the wrong parts to the bodyshop (or at least thats what I have been told) so it's now going to be another week before it goes in which means cutting it fine before my next trip away

Doors on back order with Ford having no idea when they'll be back in stock :x
Guess that means I'll end up trying to sort the other bits as the summer weather ends. Start a new job where I wont be using it to commute every day though which may come in handy

I'm told my door should arrive in a few weeks now.
Felt I'd been pushing luck with the number of long trips I'd done without a jack etc so went mad and spent a tenner

Was planning on doing my wheels, tyres and suspension in one hit once the bodywork was sorted but looks like tyres and wheels will be coming earlier

Wheels blasted

Laser cut discs arrived ready for welding

Just a bit of welding and then paint. Think I'm going for Frozen White when I get the other little bits sorted out

Finally got repaired, although had to take it back as there was paint all over the rear suspension where they'd obviously not masked at all and clearly didn't give a sh*t. Couple of small drip marks in the paint too which despite me pointing out weren't rectified. Insurers didn't seem to care either so no wonder the cowboys are still in business. TBH any normal person wouldn't notice.

Going to give the rest of van a good polish to try and reduce the areas that will need repainting

Today, the rear refit began.

Ive managed to salvage my original ply lining kit and have fitted it properly so it doesn't look as much of a state. Just another tiny rust hole to fix and then finish it off

Been quite satisfying seeing the difference a bit of polish is making

Image

Company up the road is opening soon doing various wheel and bodywork bits and he was looking for some volunteers for free headlight restoration to get some before and after photos and try out some new products. So, dropped the van off with lenses looking like this

Image

Will post after photos when I see the van in good light again
