Ford Transit mk3 Reimo Camper

Postby Ransi » Thu Dec 21, 2017 6:00 pm

Hi, this is my and my friends ford transit project. Im from Finland so apogolize from wrong spelling :D
We dreamed of some camper what we could travel around europe and then this beautiful mk3 transit was near and we decised to buy it.
In the pictures it seemed liked like normal camper but when we went so see it, it was missing whole interior but we still bought it.
When we started looking the transit we discovered that the transit was rusty about everywhere and steering was wobbly and almost everything was broken
Then this many years project started. 2014 went only welding and 2015 was also only welding.
2016 went welding the transit and we bought another sparepart transit what gave many parts to this car
2017 was the year we decised this transit to be road legal so we spend almost all of our spare time to this car. We also bought another transit camper for spare parts. 2017 fall this transit got licence after 6 years.
This project is not finished yet and next summer this transit will be travelling across the europe :D
Over 1000 hours have been spent to this transit and many many euros.

I would have lot of more to tell about this transit but it would take days to write but thats overall. pictures of the transit is here:

This month this Transit travelled almost 6000 kilometres through europe in 11 days. Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and 800km in Finland. Only problem was with the gas. It jammed many times.Lubricants only helped temporarily. It was great trip and next year plan is go to UK :)
