Right chaps little update on the mk5 trailer, had a few issues with the van over the last couple of months or so so this took a bit of a back shelf, however I finally got round to having a couple of hours on it today, I had previously welded the bodies to the chassis so it's now 1 piece and today I managed to get 1 new arch fitted, joggled the edges and welded in.
I also put some supports in place to hold the panel and will form part of the floor/wheel arch. The void behind will house the leasure battery and water tanks.
I also got hold of an old tailgate that I can use for mocking up the front panel, it's pretty rotten but will serve good enough to chop up and I also needed the glass and hinges from it.
That's about it for now, took a few pics. 8)

Bit of progress on the trailer, both arches are welded in and braced and I'm now in the process of piecing in the holes in the panels where the original arches landed.
For 1 side I've butchered a scrap side loading door just for the lower swage/body line (did this before I found out how cheap the repair panels were from central panels! )
2 drivers side mid/lower panels on order now
Once the sides are finished I'll be fitting the inner arches and hopefully making a start on the floors, the old tailight holes/airvents on the front of the trailer will be getting blanked off too.
Anyway a couple of pics 8)

Will do chaps and thanks for the coments, progress has been a little slow of late with the issues with the van etc but hopefully the major 1s are now ironed out so should be some good progress with this in the next few months :D

Little update from the other day,
The panels arrived Wednesday so that meant I could finish the lower sides.
I also got the leaf springs changed over to the set that's staying on permanent, it now sits a little taller than I'd like atm but I expect the more weight I add Inc the interior it will no doubt drop a little.
I also offered up the tailgate as I've got to fab up some mounts for the hinges to land on.
A few progress pics too 8)

So a little resurrection (and I suppose a close) of this thread, with nothing being done on the trailer project I figured it was time to move it onto someone that would finish it off
I had so many plans for the trailer but I came to the conclusion that after 4yrs of not doing anything with it and being too busy with other stuff that I probably wouldn't get round to doing it anytime soon again.
It's now found its way down south with MinorMatt and I belive he is going to use it as a promo goods trailer for his transit parts business.

All the best to Matt and hopefully we'll see it finished at mania sometime soon.
