My recent ST transit MK7 purchase

Postby FRANSPEED » Sun Jan 05, 2020 6:40 pm

Hi All, I have recently purchased a MK7 ST transit (is that what they are called or are they a transit sport..?) it is on an 07 reg and is in Blue, hopefully some pics will be on here for you to see... it needs some work, so please bare with me, I will be asking (and searching on here) for as much help and information as I can get, one of my first questions is regarding alloy wheels, and what sizes can be fitted/used etc, it has a set of the standard alloys, but have just removed them to enable me to get them re furbed and get new tyres fitted, so before I do that I was looking for possible options that may be an alternative, ie, will Focus RS alloys fit, would I need spacers etc, if anyone has any info or pics of what they have it would be greatly appreciated if they could enlighten me... :D

Looks awesome mate. Are those real leather seats? My old Jumbo had some fake plastic leather seats (factory fitted). They deffo didn't look like yours. Yours look real...

Cheers mate, yeah they are real leather and really comfy to be honest, I have been told it should have heated seats, but I can't seem to find any switches or anything.... anyone know what I should be looking for?

No idea about the heated leather switch or whether it should have it. Honestly without heated leathers, those seats are rubbish. I'll swap with mine.

The heated seat switch is on the seat pedestal.

Jay, they’re the sport leather seats, iirc they were standard on the first (130ps) vans and option on the later ones?

I don’t think they were crazy money, I think 1/2 leather on my Customs was about £150.

Started work on my Transit today, first job was to sort the front brakes out.... that was interesting  going to replace the disc's/pads, had no idea about the "hidden" torx screws... :o .. any recommendations on best brake options?
