finally got it in garage an started to strip it

trial fitted the 3.5 v8 an made the engine mounts, cut out the bulk head to get better weight transfer

then back out an all front is now off axle the lot :mrgreen:

waitin on a reply to a modified v8,4.6 fell through(no contact from seller)if not will rebuild the v8 iv got to nice spec :twisted:

thanx dangerous but i bought engine less carbs as i dont like em,want either a weber or a holley :twisted: ,seen some cherry bombs on the bay 2 1/2 inch bore :lol: ,oh an a nitrous kit 8) well why notImage

hi hitman
i like cherry bombs i was gonna get some cherry bomb centre boxes but i havent seen any for years they are all back boxes.

the back boxes im gonna have made i want twin 12"x8" ovals each side :lol: then lpg and later nitrous.
ive put a fast road cam into the v8
if i get anybit or theres any you need give us a shout and ill see what i can do for you theres a few guys here that deal with v8 stuff here cheap and if i can beg it you can have it!

looking forward to seeing your van again and seeing what youve done

if you stick with the 3.5 put 3.9 cams in they suit a van as they give more torque, did the same when i built an old landy for off road fun :D

yes i agree a nice 3.5 or 3.9 ,i had a twin choke webber carb on mine and this gave me around 24 mpg on a run ,i couldnt even get that from a essex v6 :shock: :shock:
the other carb would be a 390 holley 8) the su carbs are a very slow carb as they dont have throtle pumps ,as with the twin choke webber it transformed the engine !wow i would like another v8 but i just cant chop the mk1 about! :(

also the gm350 engine is all the rage now days and parts are alot cheaper than the rover! 8)
