Shall have a butch tonight of what’s under the drivers seat, I’m assuming as I’m going to use the vans fuel tank that when I drop it, I just make a hole in the top where the fuel pump feeds through and run the heater hose feed through that and stick it back up?...

It's a quick release fitting that goes straight onto a dedicated port for a FFH on the top of the sender unit, which has a tube that only reaches 3/4 into tank so you can't run tank dry with heater. (As mentioned, you just cut top off it before fitting pipe connector)
Last time I checked they were about £20+ but they're probably quadruple that now
