Yeh the csa is pain in the Uranus to say the least, and as they take it out of my pay I basically pay tax on that too, this government definitely getting their pound of flesh out of me...
Yeh get what you saying Ned, back in the day all you got was a producer, and even that wasn’t legal to hand in..
Most travellers do exactly the same as I do, as long as your motor is legal there’s not a law out there saying you can’t live in it, if you classify van life as living, but I’m mobile again now,

Well, my night heater has arrived, it’s the kit form, I will use the supplied fuel tank, but anyone know if there’s a hole already I could use for the exhaust pipe, I was hoping to run it from under passenger seat to the bulkhead and out that way, would love to see and hear ideas, don’t want to be drilling holes through the floor...
Also need to source a second battery set up but struggling to find the looms anywhere..

You only need battery cables and a relay then Activate in the config with foreskin.

Iv only got a small foreskin on my wiener, don’t think it’s man enough
You got any pics bud?
Also, with regards to the locks, iv tried the door lock, yes, it locks up, bar the side door, but when you try unlock the barrel seems to move with the key and every time you turn the horn beeps in sync and don’t unlock, I’m assuming it’s the rod on the barrel, I’m taking door card off tonight to double check everything then will focus on the fobs..
Any ideas on the best place to run the exhaust pipe for the night heater, don’t want to be drilling holes through the van hence thinking of fitting the pipe through the bulkhead and out again..

Not fitted one under passenger seat but you will have to drill the floor one hole about 3 inch ish to get the pipes out and if you have a inboard tank you will need a small hole for the fuel pipe to come back into the van as the heater is fed fuel from underneath.

I’m scratching my head thinking about this..
Thinking of fitting the night heater in the engine bay, mounting it in the nearside wing area, then just trying to work out how to feed the hot air back into the van...
I’m just trying to avoid putting more holes in the van than she actually needs, I mean it’s a Ford, I can’t give it any extra help to rust through,.
Every video iv seen so far is drilling holes through the floor in the rear..
Under the passenger seat seems not a good idea atm due to A there not being enough room under the van and B no idea what’s under the insulation on the floor..
Iv got a feeling that it’s going to end up being mounted in the rear by the wheel well or between the two under the back seat when I finally get one and install it, but atm, just after curious ideas for time being...

Mine is fitted in the back on the OS I have a bulkhead just to the rear of the sliding door the heater is underneath the bed if you look underneath the van just in front of the spring hanger there is an area in between the box sections where you can drill through to get the heater exhaust and inlet pipes out .all I did to find a position to drill and not land inside a box section was to take the mounting bracket underneath position it in the area and drill from underneath I did the same with my mk6.i had two ex BT vans that had the Eberspacher D5 W and one of them had it mounted underneath on the passenger side on the side of the step .

Basically, in short, it’s a hole in the floor job...
Was toying with idea of passenger seat, but too much going on around that area under the van..
Ofside rear is working towards me atm but until my soldering iron turns so I can fix my fobs and open my back doors to check everything inside I’m just toying with ideas atm hence the thought of mounting the unit in the engine bay and contemplating how to feed the hot air back into the van....
I like to think everything over a few times before I start drilling holes everywhere..

The other thing I thought was so I didn’t have to drill a big hole to get the plug for the pump through the floor I cut a section out of the loom to shorten it and only have to drill a small hole in the floor I used red bullet connectors to Reconnect It as I couldn’t get the terminals out of the plug.

Here’s a great idea if your drilling a hole into the floor, paint the bare metal before you feed anything trough it  and as you say it’s a Ford then surely you would want to paint some protective material on the underside, that’s my theory anyway

Basically yes but and I’m not accusing you of this so don’t take it the wrong way, the owner also needs to take some responsibility as well, if I bought a brand new van the first thing I would do is get some underbody protection applied, vehicle makers only aim for a 10 year service life, it makes me laugh when people don’t buy a Ford they rust for fun, they only rust as much as any other neglected vehicle, it’s the old “ my 4 year old van is rusting badly” but what they don’t say is they don’t wash the van for months or at all in winter
