Connect arches won’t fit without a lot of modifications, trust me I know I’ve tried them.

Good question, what is it you want to achieve with the arches?

I need to widen mine due to wider wheels.

If you just want something different then I’d be looking at jumbo transit rear arches :P there no cheap though.

Yep I bought one of the jumbo arches and I didn't like the look of it that's why i preferred the connect arch because they are a nicer shape ,but like u say they will need some work to fit plus they are not long enough so I'm at a point where I'm scratching my head
I did have another idea using a window trim to create a wider arch but not bring the wheel out here is a pic below but I was just throwing ideas visually together was going to spray them silver and trim them to the right length.

Ah now your talking, that’s kind of how mine will be once I trim the vans arches and fit the plastic wheel covers from a tipper.

Nice looking van, the jumbo arches are ok if you want the big fat arch look, there’s not an awful lot of options to “buy off the shelf”, I would love to get some metal mk2 escort style rally arches fabricated, I’ve even considered the possibility of making some escort cosworth style fared ones but nothing is in motion yet :?

Yep I think I might try this idea first before putting big arches on it! its also nice to talk to someone on the same wave length as some people think I'm nuts doing up an old van and spending £1000s on it but I'd rather have a mk7 than a mk8 any day .
As u know its always trial and error with arches but I would like to see it when u start doing it mate :D
Cheers for your input .

Your van looks like it's come on a long way and now is looking really clean , I use to have a lwb hightop version before my mk7 the engine was fantastic in it .
Would love to see the progress on here so keep me informed .

Hi
I've done some progress today sprayed up some arches sorry I didn't show u step by step photos but had alot to do , took me awhile to set up a template to correctly get the right gaps etc but most of it was done buy eye which I think worked out pretty well I was going for a small lip arch that gives a fat look on the road :D.
All in all I'm happy with the results apart from the wrong colour orange on the side skirts which I will rectify! the orange trim will continue around the van when I have some more time .
Also took some photos of the inside sorry about the mess .
