Attempting to hide the well of reflection on top of the dash

Love my van, but my heads up display is awful
I mean it’s super clear, I can see everything
Receipts from shell
Packets of sugar
Screw driver bits
And of course the wonderfully bright white iPhone charging cable and other garbage that ends up being put in there!!

My solution until recently was a bar towel
Dark, and shielded my vision of the road of all the aforementioned crap I keep in that useful space.

I have begun to model and test my new solution
I will keep you all updated on its progress as it happens

A expensive way it to flock the dash a lot of top end rally cars do but like you on my road car I got some really dark black material and cut and sown to shape and attached it to the top of the dash with Velcro hand will reverse it when the sun fades it just be careful not to obstruct any airbags or the vents for the screen

This is more of a cover/lid for the large storage holes. I have 3d scanned the entire top section of the dash, it will all be printed out of ABS GF so it shouldn’t be affected by direct sunlight or UV. First parts came out well, I’ve added finger holes and cable cut outs for whatever phone chargers etc need to be routed out of it
