I have taken off the bullbars and Visor and they're on ebay.

I fitted a new bulkhead

and tidy'd up the storage bit above the cab....

Then i started carpeting....

And put some new seats in the back...

The old seats are also on ebay!!!

I have a bit more carpeting to do, and fitting a big DVD screen in the back.

The cutout in the upper front bulkhead is not for the DVD. Thats the access for the Digibox, dvd storage and first aid kit... complete with LED lighting. I worked for Rover/BMW for 7 years on Classic and new Mini's including show cars and concepts. I like toys!!!!

I have mounted a 15" screen on the lower bulkhead which works an absolute peach!!! i was looking on ebay for screens but found a TV in sainsbury's which uses a 12V DC input for £99. I have also got a reversing camera hooked up on top of the back doors connected to the head unit screen with a power feed from the reverse lights so as soon as i put in in reverse, the front screen changes to camera input and leaves DVD's on in the back. I have also connected the head unit to the handbrake so the front screen only plays DVD's when parked.

Yesterday, i was sorting out the auxilliary wiring under the dash and found a flasher unit for LED pods and Lightbars (ex network rail) connected to 2 redundant switches on the dash which leads to supplys on the front, back and roof!!!!! do i sell on ebay or fit some stealth ambers?

Why did you ditch the bullbar and screen?

oh.. and how did you attach the carpet, I take it it is standard room carpet? I want to carpet the cabside of my ply bulkhead but worried about the lasting smell of glue.

Been away a while.... following the disconnection of my testicles

the carpet is automotive carpet from Ebay £11 a roll about 2M square... i have gone through 4 rolls now!!! and you need spray adhesive to sick it which is great on wood but if you need to stick to roof or any metal body panels, you are best using the high temp stuff as the standard stuff melts on a warm day.... i need to get some high temp for the ceiling.

we took the van to alton towers for a weekend and i managed to lock the keys in the back while loading up for the return home... the rear doors lock automatically sometimes... luckily the side door was still open and i smashed my way through the bulkhead just enough to pass my 4 year old son through the gap and unlock the door for us.

I ditched the bullbar and visor as the van is for my kitchen and bathroom installation business and i want it as proffesional as possible. it has just been sign written and once i fix the bulkhead and finish off a bit more work, i will be fitting a Laptop pc and printer in the back so that i can do Designs and written quotes on the spot, Once the van is back on the drive, the laptop will be linked to the home network via Wifi and i can upload and download info as required. :D

Also on our alton towers escapade, i went under a low barrier and damaged the spinning air vent on the roof!! it is now a bit off centre and at 70mph causes huge resonance problems in the back... can i take it off? is there a blanking plate or something i can put in its place??

Another thing i have been working on is a heater duct. the hot air stays inside the front cab and doesn't circulate into the back so i'm fitting a 12v extractor fan into the headlining in the front cab ducting it into the back section so it comes on when the heater blower is on full which should draw all the hot air from the front and allow the kids to defrost!!
