BROWNYS V6 MK3

Postby BROWNYS V6 » Sun Apr 20, 2008 6:38 pm

its about time i started one of these threads so here goes.
for those who dont know im currently modifying a mk3 transit 100 swb van.it runs a 2.8 v6
cologne engine and 5 speed type 9 from a capri without the fuel injection as this was easier to fit, and at present it has 6 inch fronts and 7 inch x14 rears with 195/65 and 265/50 tyres.

for your info :) the transit stick and mechanism will bolt onto the top of the car box and give you the correct position - all it needs is a blank over the origanal stick port :D

look forward to seeing this one at north weald 8)

yes and know - type9's are rare but they are oftern replaced with mt75's s kind of have little value and not many fit them so keep your eyes pealed :D i would never fit a type 9 over an MT75 - infact if i was you i'd also keep an eye out for an adapter plate V6 or pinto (pinto needs modding) but you could then fit an MT75 when/if the type 9 goes bang

theres a mazda mx5 gearbox on ebay right now which fits the ford v6.....

is that van lowered? or is it just the effect of the wheels and tires?
