My MK6 SWB lo roof Seat and window pics added

Started making some progress now

My plan is to kit it out as a van for work and play, so it needs to be practical but i also need to be able to sleep in it

Some basic specs of it

Its a 90 T330 RWD SWB low roof ex RAC
Remote central locking
tailgate with heated window and wash wipe
single SLD
Twin passenger seats

So its fairly basic

here are the pics befor anything was done





Then the stereo was added

Then i fitted a light bar, it is a proper RAC item



Then a side step



which folds out the way



then a bit of styling



Started to fit a water heater to warm the engine and cab during the winter

Complete kit from scrappy


Im fitting it to the inner step on the passengers side

holes drilled and waxoiled

One of the pipes that i have made



So far the pipes only go as far as the side of the engine untill i confirm which pipe i need to cut, then it will be plumbed in and wired up



Next i have got planned is an air heater in the back for when i am camped out
Going to build a fold down bed too
Then leccy windows and mirrors

Thats it for now, more to follow as long as it dont rain

I always put my tool boxes there in work vans, at the end of the day if it's used as a mobile tool box then that is what you need to get to most.

Just nipped out and fitted the loom for the water heater

Control unit will sit nicely on top of the engine fuse box with a couple of bolts holding it

got 3 wires to fit in the cab and then connect it to the battery

If you put it the other way round, any drain cans/oil drums etc will stop you opening the drawes, With it this way round i can cram it full and still get into the box

there allready 8 inches wide

Heater is plumbed up, Been for a road test and the cab heater still gets warm so thats a good start

Relay to switch on the cab heater is in, wires to the heater motor are done

Earths are done, powers are ready to go,

Just got to get some cable to extend the loom about 2 meteres and away we go hopefully

Air heater is going in next

Iv decided now that im going to pull the copper pipes to the heater out and replace them with braided PVC covered in thick plastic cable armour stuff,

Then i can fold the PVC around the contours of the chassis and make it tidyer

Fitted the controller and fuses for the heater, just got the timer and run the wires to the heater then its done



the coiled up wire next to the screenwash is the ones to the heater
