Some pics of my mk2 chassis cab just aqquired from Fred. It has been standing for some time since the pics were taken and is now pretty sad No worries though, have mig and angle grinder ready so watch this space

is the A section in the chassis standard for a crew cab then never seen that before, but then again i dont think ive ever seen a crew cab close up to look

Poor old Fred!! I have "aqquired" it in lieu of work to be done on her fleet. Also it definately is not one of her gooduns. The pics were taken in 2007 and it has been outside ever since!! Most of the lower floor and outer panels are gone and the roof looks like some body used it for target practice The rear chassis appears to be MK3 grafted on just under the back of the cab so thats why its not as rusty as the rest Work starts tomorrow and I hope to have it done in a week or so

It has begun! The foreceable removal of all ferrous oxide from Muttley 3 He has a somewhat non original but very hefty box x/member at the front to which was welded the bumper irons, wings and front panel!! Front wings are off as are doors and all of the front panels. He has a late di and the wrong radiator but these will stay as he is to work for a living and originality is not first priority. Bulkhead rotted but not too bad, but doorsteps and outriggers plus the bottom of both A pillars is horrible! Pics make it better than it is Stiil not bad for the first day, new metal already in the front panel, inner wing and under the inner wing. More tomorrow

Its a bit of a patchwork sort of thing but its going ahead ok, here are some more pics

A pillar before, camera died at this point but I have done the bit you see above and rebuilt the inner wing lip and the base of the scuttle and rain channel. Then I ran out of bloody gas A trip to BOC for me in the morning

New outrigger going in, made of sterner stuff than the old one All repairs to chassis are with 1mm plate and .5mm for the body.
