mk6 windscreen fitting van. ready for modding

hi all. not been on here since i sold the orange and blue mk5 lwb semi to "shirlz" on here (hope its still going strong). bought an iveco daily 3510 after selling that (another bright wacky creation). anyway, bought this lovely 100psi mk6 today. very tidy though needs a good polish. starting work on it tomorrow afternoon so will update as i go on.

cheers. wasn't too keen on the iveco. loadsa pulling power but not ideal for the roads around here. lovin the tranny though.

think it was you that replaced my windscreen on it when a wee w*** smashed it
outside the lancaster hotel

not that i can remember. if it was autoglass, i left there about 7 years ago. if it was me, i'll have been in a red sprinter or my old orange and blue mk5. i stay just up the hill from the lancaster. well within staggering distance!

ended up working later than expected today so didn't get quite as much done as i thought i would. removed the 2 (yes 2) ply floors as it was damp and broken and a pretty crap fit. underneath was like a sand/gravel pit. gave it all a good clean, painted arches and rear panel, waxoiled evrywhere i could (3 litres), fitted new floor and a half size mdf bulk head. treated myself to a new toolbox and a new cheapie generator too.



















hopefully get some more done tomorrow night.

spend alot of time out there myself with the dog and kids..... or driving up and down the sand dunes in my old hilux!

my big sister used to work and live in the lancaster she moved back couple of years ago but we still have family in oban
