4.0 v8 transit.

Cheers guys, the engine is in the frame and mounted well back. One hurdle I will have to overcome is the o/s manifold which runs straight through
the steering column. Apart from this everything else is relatively straightforward.I reckon that 3to4 more solid days will have it running.
Will keep you posted. Rich.

By the way can anybody tell me ....if I remove the ecu ,apart from the control supply for the old engine what other functions will I lose (somebody has enquired about buying the diesel engine but wants the ecu as well) I know about the immobiliser which doesn't matter as I can bypass that.

i "think" you'd be ok without the ecu :? as you'll loose the pats immobiliser and stuff like that anyway - certanly any of the engine stuff will be redundant :D

dont think it has any bearing on the lights or even the cooling fans :?

i cant remember what we did with the cossy mk6 - we did leave the origanal ecu on aswell but i cant remember why :? mabe just never got round to taking it out
