Im working on the bonnet at the moment trying to design a brow over the double headlights. want to give it that chrome 1958 chevy look. Look at the lights on AVP and imagine a kind of chrome brow

love this project and i think the ideas are great 8)
how about mk1 wheels instead of mk3 you could keep the chrome outer ring but also have the chrome centre hubcap - it would go with the style
if you like the idea i've got at least 1 or 2 possably more mk1 wheels you can have :D

Thanks Luke I am using The Mk 5 wheels Im going to weld 3 small bits of round rod to take the Chrome centre caps
Image
Im not short of wheels so if it dosn't work never mind Its the balancing of the wheel afterwards Im worried about

what about making them wider :?: like mefcos :?: so they keep the style but fill the arches 8)

I would love a set of Mefco wheels but they are rare as rocking horse .... :( as for the Chrome rings Duksville do the chrome embelishers to fit that type of wheel. dont think there is any other way of widening the wheel

yeah mefco's are rare but i think there are companies (somone mentioned one on here) that will convert standard transit wheels to wider banded wheels :? i had a go at making some reverse rim fiesta wheels ages ago i had 8 cut the centres out of 4 and the rims out of the others using an oxy torch - i was gonna spin and refit em but i gave up when i realised that i would only gain ½" but i dont know how much you'd get from transit ones :?

wheels make or break a project and this deserves some special wheels - i like the style you have but if the rims stuck out another 1" mabe 1½" they would be spot on 8)
