mates cosworth 24v

Postby just me » Sun May 31, 2009 7:31 pm

ok been asked by luke to do a thread on this its my mates 24v cosworth van, it started as a standard 2.5 diesel van he bought for peanuts. A little after buying it he was driving in town when he was over taken by what i have now found out was a bloke on heres van (custom i think he was called) any way my mate liked what he saw and heard and saw the guy parked in tesco and got talking to him, to cut a long story short a few weeks later my mate saw the van parked up at the side of the road with the drivers side caved in.Turns out some one had side swiped him on a roundabout so while he was still abit confused and probably conkused my mate came in with an offer of 4 grand to buy his tourneo which he did and transfered alot of the stuff on to his own van ill let the pics do the talking what i will say is he is currently aiming to have the lowest transit in the country with out using air bags hope you enjoy

this is the mount we made for the tramp bars we are using landrover discovery trailing arms for this as if there strong enough for a landy there more than strong enough for a transit

where it was cut we welded the ends up then the plate at the top is 8mm thick and welded to the floor and the sides to give extra strength
