Well here it is my mk5 dayvan project
here she is as purchased


First job was some temporary seating for the kids
T25 caravelle seats will have to suffice until i find something more luxurious

(excuse the mess)

also fitted was my favourite old pioneer head unit deh-2800mp
That was all the work I had time for until today when I replaced the drivers seat with a nice leather one
Because the original seat was losing all its stuffing out the door and giving me a right pain in the neck
everytime i drove it

and also some Ring navigator driving lights



these will be wired in asap
loads more to do when time allows rear upholstery, sound proofing, rear speakers, single passenger seat, fit side windows and im sure I will think of lots more as I sleep
hope to do a few more random bits tommorow will update asap.

Is that leather seat out of MK1 mondeo if so is it easy to fit ??

scotty86 thanks for the comments, I think that the full bullbars are the best looking imho they sure caused a few probs with the insurance though
Im still not sure that I like the wheeltrims though I would kill for a set of three spokes or chrome slotmags but fat chance being a six studder

Madmark the seat is from a citroen of some sort xm most probably piece of cake to fit as i just used three pieces of dexion to make a subframe iirc they were 35cms long.

Just got back from shopping with the missus and we bought some mdf to make speaker boxes and some hardboard to start making a headlining just need to find time now to work on it some more.

Right Then No I havnt disappeared or lost interest in the van she has been behaving impeccabily but there hasnt been time to do anything to her.
Kids back to school and we at long last have a tiny bit of progress

Yes Thats right new seats the missus won them on the bay of flea for about £700
we are not sure what they are from just some jap 7 seater
however they are FAB!!!!!

and very versatile they do even turn into a bed just no pic of that yet




next we have to build up the wooden flooring again to the level of the runners so we can then carpet it once more and have all the mountings completely hidden then time to pop the windows in and install a single passenger front seat

Hi Bigmastif.
The bloke I bought the seats from was a right secretive beggar in regards to what they are from as he is making a killing on them Aparrently he imports the vehicles from japan conveniently forgetting what it is then sells the seats to cover import duty and then does some kind of bespoke conversion on the van for a final customer. All the info he was sure about was they are from a 12 seater poss mitsubishu or toyota.
He also reckons I had the last set in the country he has since sold 4 more sets lol
Despite all the cloak and dagger stuff we are well pleased with them
If anyone is interested in a set i can post up details next time i see them
Incidentally the t25 seats are on the bay at the moment,

Hi Guys I have just found out that the seats come out of a nearly new TOYOTA GRANVIA / REGUS .

well there has been very little time to do much to the van lately but I did get this done the day before yesterday, I have had it sitting round for ages though



I will get the rest of the dash sorted when I fix the speedo

I Agree about the price However the missus likened it to paying for a good bed or sofa, as we spend so much time out in the van, Some of the sets of seats he lists go for for less then a oner, and he has had some real bargains on there if you are not impatient, in fact the week before we went for these they were on there for 99p no reserve, no bids less than an hour to go the missus didnt know if they would fit in the van so didnt go for them they finished at 99p no bids, We did end up PAYING for them but are still over the moon with them

Also the transit he had them in as a demonstrator had a swivel front double passenger seat, again from some jap van..
