my new van

My black beasty van..Got last week for not a lot of cash off ebay..Not the best of description as it was described as a fuel pump problem which then turned out the owner has removed the head so another thing i had to do...well £40 for a pump and £11 for a head gasket and the van is back up and running....




That nasty and very weak shelving is going its only held in by mastic stuff!!


as u can see EX BT..and the extra heater dont work and the sink has been removed.

Intreasting side exit exhaust..needs looking at as whoever welded it couldnt weld properly.And the paint job is well orange peel.
What will i do with this van..I dunno yet.

Puttin the front number plate back in the right place would improve its looks no end

been having a play today..Its now got blue spot injectors in it(these came out of a 85ps turbo auto..I had the injectors laying about in a box) did the top allen key mid range fuel and max pressure on the back of the pump..well i can now accelerate uphill in 5th no problems and with just a bit of black smoke on full throttle..oh yeah and the hill i tried is beacon hill on the A140 anyone local will know its a bit of a long slog uphill there for a transit especially from a standing start.
The van is a 70ps engine but now goes like a 100ps(no kidding but bet the mpg is a bit lower. )
