Charged the battery, put gallon of fuel in and it fired up straight away. Im pretty pleased with that, considering it been stood idle since November. The winter has shown up a few flaws in my welding and filling, but the beauty of roller painting is you can just rub it down and repaint it again.
My old paint supplier went to the wall, so i ordered 2.5 ltr of Rustoleum in the same paint code and it does look the same colour, heres hoping.
Now its time to tie up those loose ends that i never got round to finishing last year.
I bought a table top from a car boot last year for £2 so it was time to fit an island leg.
Inside the cupboards and wardrobe were still to be lined.
I found some plastic lipping at B&Q and this was ideal for trimming up the windows.
More lighting was needed at high level as the under cupboard lighting was not enough.
The winter has taken its toll on some of my welding, or should i say prepping. So ill tackle that and other painting jobs over the bank holiday weekend
Back to the painting now. Im so wishing i bought Rustoleum in the first place now as it is so much easier to use. The main benefits are that you can mix it wih white spirit and this gives you more working time and you dont need to thin it down as much and it still self levels.
I thought i would first try it on the door shuts and steps just in case i buggered it up, but the results were really good.
I had real trouble with the bonnet reacting last year, but with this paint i had no trouble at all. I gave it a very quick coat and was astounded at the result.
