mk6 wheels makeover

Postby Brains_transit » Mon Sep 13, 2010 9:51 pm

i decided to finally spray my wheels satin black and use ford fiesta wheel trims but i also like them just black with no trims. so i popped the tyres off the front lip as i have the machine that way i could spray right into the edge and wouldnt risk damaging the paint if i took them right off.

rubbed down and in primer

I wouldn't bother using heat gun on the bumpers....

I did mine and it doesnt take long for them to look even worse than they did before! They are covered in whitish blotches now.

I wonder if non genuine Ford bumpers are worth looking at? I've seen a few on ebay etc

Hi have a non genuine bumper on my connect and 2 years later its white on the top upward facing bit so i thought genuine would stay black longer. seemed to loss colour last winter with all the heavy frost and snow

tried expensive bumper care stuff on mine but if they are going white i think you are wasting your time as it made no difference to mine
