Here we have my lovely Transit 190 Hi cube as you might guess she is a ex tyre van look hard enough you'll see who she belonged too (Hi Q) the wonderful yellow roof
This photo was the first photos just before I purchased her as you can tell she had a good working life and looking tired externally.

I'm hoping to convert it to a very comfortable business van for furniture removals & deliveries but before get onto that I'll explain abit more about van as where all here for one reason we love Transits and like to hear what there doing or got up to or basic helpful tips etc
Born in 1996 started life out like I said a tyre van and been fitted with compressor & pto and continued to give good service to her main owners till 2002 when they thought was time to pass her out.
Then used by another owner for personal use then eventually me which just took here on approx 3 months ago
Drove her back expecting the worst but did not let me down one bit smooth as silk must say was impressed
For a van 14 years old she is very clean for her age expect rear bottom panels & rear crossmember where they all get it but soon will have her rear fixed (sounds rude
Any way enough of that if want to know more just post comments and let you know.
If there is some Transit lovers that like to name there van please send sudjestions as she deserves a name but not sure (maybe Bertha due to size)
Right onto my plans Photos will follow shortly:
After cleaning her up started in cab with removing seats as drivers had gone but interesting story about that. Then pulled up rubber mat as was soaked expecting to find problems underneath due to water but mint just about
then set about shifting 14 years worth of muck by heck what a job then later after floor dryed out on washing line got the mop & bucket (yes you heard right)
followed by removing bench seat and stripping & unpicking fabric which then went in wash (If curious to know if Transit seat fabric washes yes they do Synthectics 30c) and come out brand new had stains on inside of fabric and shifted them
Afterwards was time to remove that new tyre smell so got about drilling out rivets on plastic sides and removing floor which you can find for sale on Ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... RK:MESE:IT ideal if got mechanic van etc
then set about cleaning floor to endless tyre valves and pure muck then after 4 hoovers fills yes (4)
Where now currently upto current progress boarding the back out with new plywood & insulation to keep noise down and trying to keep weight to minimum
so far boarded drivers side rear panel and boarded the roof sides and roof all filled with rockwool then came the bulkhead which was the trickest part getting right which is now in and now moving onto floor panels which will also be insulated underneath
So for now until get pics uploaded thats where I've got if anybodys got any ideas let me know as might implement them into my design as thinking as I'm building
Thanks for reading I will return
