Well this is the story so far about a year or so ago i bought a flood damaged mondeo st tdci, tried to turn it over but locked up so far round so i sacked it and bought a new motor the flooded engine was removed put in the corner and forgotten about, until now that is.....

About a week ago i bought a 52reg 125 tdci t280 van with engine trouble was told turbo went and brand new item was fitted them it started missing so a expected the worst but suspected an injector. Went to london and bought the van brought it home and had a bit mess about with the injectors swapping them round etc and turns out i found a soaked air filter etc so it had sucked up water ajd damaged cylinder 4 some how.

After a little think about repairin that motor or buying one i decided to have a second look at the st engine as its just sat there doing nothing. Ive stripped it down to the bare bones and cant seem to findanything obvious apart from a little pitting on one of the cylinder bores.

Rather than taking chances ive dropped the head, conrods, pistons and block off at my local rebore shop im having the bores honed still keeping the standard size, head checked valves removed and reground, crank cleaned and polished, pistons cleaned and checked.

If all is well when i get the call on the bits tomorrow i will be replacing all bearings, gaskets etc so it'll be like a brand new motor which will be nice haha

goin to do the engine swap work and swap first then start on the front end so keep checkin... ;)

anyone that wants to know any sizes et whiles its in bits let me know....

More pics to follow

Hi mate yes I'll take lots of pics etc so should be quite good, at the moment I have the headlights colour coded front bumper centre, outer bumper caps, fogs, bonnet, a pillar plastics, wiper scuttle plastic, top part of scuttle panel and I have the headlamp panels, slam panel and one wing in my sights!! So all I'm missing is the other wing...

Oh forgot to mention I have the inner wings new from ford and the bumper bar complete with steps

Just had the phone call from my local rebore shop and everything is mint!! So cranks been polished, bores honed, head pressure tested, tickled and valves reground, pistons and rods cleaned and checked.

So I'll get all the bits picked up tomorrow and get cracked on!!!

Thanks for the link for the box

Did you manage to find the measurements for the shafts? How much to remove etc?
