Just had MOT and rotten so had to change a few panels to get through mot not the best quality standard of work as my welding is not that good but i can only get better I hope.







Passed MOT... Yes!!!

Went to do a job the day after

Clutch Gone



Luckily Clutch under guarantee, should have paid for a better one but moneys tight at the moment so can't afford to upgrade. Just got married and baby due on 9th feb 2011

Ah well thought I would share my frustrations with you guys anyway.

Just taken out gear box and found out Spigot Bearing the culprit of my disintigrated clutch, luckily it hasnt killed gearbox.

Ordered replacement from Ford should be back on the road tomorrow.... Got a lot to do in the meantime remove whats left of it. Any tips welcome just ordered a slide hammer kit from screwfix for next day delivery £19.95

Apparently, if you fill the spigot bearing flush with grease and can find an old drift/drill bit that just fits snugly in the centre of (what's left of) the bearing, you can simply wack it with a hammer and the grease forces out the old bearing

I will try that first thanks, I havent got a slide hammer in my tool box so keep it anyway should come in handy...

Got out spiggot bearing today, had to use a dremel.. Easiest way by far tried everything else first though....

New Spiggot bearing installed and new clutch fitted, gearbox on tomorrow and ready to rock and roll
