the mk5 engine is a 2.0 petrol, started up on the key after 3 or so months of being laid up :!:

the pinto was a quick engine as dad had it in a p100 somone had spent money on the inside so really it would have been a shame putting it in a big old van. ive still partly rebuilt it tho and will probably find somthing to put it in but no it had a p100 box not an od one

I take it your putting the engine and box in to the mk1?

I'm on the lookout for a 2L DOHC gearbox for my minor

i wouldnt mind a LWB, how long are they? My transit is shorter than My ford falcon ute..

Here you can see the short wheel base and the long wheel base in inches whom you can compare. To enlarge the picture for better view, copy and save in a folder and enlarge. The manual book is 40 years old, so still in inches. According to the book the lenght is AN 194 21/32inches whilst yours would be about AG 165 1/16inches.

@malta transit Does your book have the chassis charts for the Chassis Cab (100L, 130, 160, 190) and the Parcel Van (160, 175) models and if so, can you post them? Thanks.
