its got the steering coupling if thats what you mean but i think somone may have cut it to separate the column and coupling :( ...ill see if the guy still has the bits

if not i guess a standard mk3 column to box coupling would work?

The "connecting bit" which Luke refers to in your photo below looks fine to me. The PAS coupling is a different length to the standard Mk3 coupling. I can measure the lengths of each if that would help, but not until the morning!

If you use the mount that came with the box, you may not need to remove the drop arm. If you do need to remove it, prepare to cut it off!

so i need the top half of the column which looks to have been gas axed off just above the coupling in the pic..hmm ok..

it's just a standard column any mk3/4/5 will fit :D if you cant wait till next time we meet i've got a puller that will get the drop arm off without damaging it :D

oh i thought somone said it was a shorter than normal column to allow for the ps box..thats good i can use a standard one then

not sure if im going ot the next 6 wheeler project as billing is a little far :(

bought a couple more PAS parts mainly a set of twin pullies and alternator, resevior and bracket ect in a job lot of parts

slowly collecting..even slower doing any work :lol: :roll:

ive collected all the parts and the vast majority of things are there and ready to go, its just money at the minute amongst other things

ive been busy on my capri and dads been busy with atleast 3 of his projects, but the vans on the to do list...just nearer the bottem than i would have liked :lol: :roll:

so after....well i dont think ive ever washed it actually so i thought id do it today (used a jet wash), supprisingly most of the blue paint just came off and the paint underneath is in rather good condition so im thinking for the time being washing all the blue off and having it red for a bit, still planning to go ahead with the engine convertion at some point

slowly moving in the right direction

engine now out of doner vehicle, just have to put it on the engine stand now and paint and partly rebuilt it - just a basic service gaskets ect

started the minor rebuild today - just full nut and bolt set and gasket set (not head off tho) and a bit of paint - back to factory spec ish

I'm about to buy the same van as yours and put a 2.0 Pinto with a T9 5 speed gearbox inside. Won't you have to change the bonnet and the front panel to bullnose ones ?

normally yes if you dont want to do small modifications but i think i have seen a pinto in a flat front - i think im going to have to do small bulkhead mods like bring the centre section back a little and find a radiator that fits but thats about it, nothing durastic to do to fit a pinto in a flat front

im not too keen on the bull nose thats why im keeping flat front
