hi all just picked this up for £240 seems like a bargain will find out soon mot runs out on 14th but its had new sills new arches pass and drivers side door steps also front and rear cross members . its unfortunately petrol but pulls well just hope she passes emissions.

she, is getting on a bit h reg . but after having a good look round her and checking out old MOT's its had a fair bit of work done in the last 3 years all the areas prone to rust are clean or replaced there are a couple of small patch welds near rear suspension mounts . had a good drive in it today and apart from to much hand brake travel and knackered windscreen wipers . . honest to god not seen a transit of this age for sale at this kind of money in such good repair ever. one advisory on last mot, btm ball joints . ok they can be a pain but if thats all it fails on well happy days . but i must admit at the back of my mind i am thinking its to good to be true. on a bad point some little sodd in a lorry decided to reverse in to it early this morning put a crease in the rear corner above lights. sods law !!!!

quick update MOT done today as expected a fail . but happy days really quite pleased it appears i got a bargain. exhaust emissions CO to high was told it will pass on retest with an adjustment. 2 rear bulbs . nearside brake cylinder needs replacing . as for corrosion one tiny little patch on the offside inner sill, hole about the size of a 10 pence piece. still gobsmaked how clean she is. so today i treated her to new oil and filter kit change new spark plugs and leads that should get her through emissions without the adjustment. also changed the steering wheel from the old bus type to the chunky mk4 type . fixed both front windows one of them had a bit of 2x1 wedged inside the door panel to keep the window up . oh happy days to have a Donner vehicle to rob bits from . will post some better and more detailed pics at the weekend.

to much work for me unfortunately, its not that i dont want to get my hands dirty or cant do the work !!! but like today i was working on my new one on a industrial state just on the side of the road. dont have a garage and dont have a driveway even ! so its a little bit awkward to say the least. she still has 7 months mot on her but a lot of panel work needed and inner and outer sills going arches also . i also want the seats nice big leather Granada seats with one on a swivel base should go nice in the bus...

had to sort the drivers side door out today just to get it through mot its the only place on the van that was completely rotten intend to get new door so this job was done just to get it through MOT not exactly pretty but will do the job . all done sat on the side of the road with only a cordless drill and a few hand tools . i really do need a drive or pref a workshop with ramps and pits would make my life a lot easier. lol

should be going in for its retest tomorrow will be touching that wood in door ..... !!!!

yeah maybe a little ott but i was not able to use my normal guy and i know what this one is like he expects to see a proper job one of those inspectors who gets a cobb on when you paint over your welding with underseal and tells you he needs to be able to see the welds . in other words a compleate pain in the arse and seeing he is going to do the adjustments that are needed to get her through her emissions thought best to make an effort .
