Ford Transit 280 SWB,,Year 2008,,2.2,, If it can,t be fixed/repaired/ with a 4 pound lump hammer then it must be an electrical problem.

Grinder and mig the way forward, if you cant weld you will be able to at the end of transit ownership!!! :D Just started mine last night. I bought some Mipa corrosion sealer for my arches, think i will be back for another tin at this rate
If it not a Ford then you can keep it.

i had this with direct line, when i did my MK6 i was with aviva, i phoned them and said im fitting a tripple rear seat and a single passenger seat, all they asked was has it been fitted by a mechanic (need a receipt to proove it), i said yes, they said that it will be 5% extra for each seat and then never asked for the proof of fitting anyway 8)

With my MK7 i did it at MOT time so all the seat fixings were inspected and belts etc checked, same again with the insurance told them that it had 1 removed and 3 extras fitted and all was well 8) 8)

for the window i would buy the glass and do it yourself, i paid £120 iirc for a fixed side window and fitting kit :)

Hey plonka69 (sorry, it feels insulting to call you that, but I cant see any other name for you :!: ) what are you going to use for the insulation?

Mine has thick pieces of polystyrene, but probably gaps between it. Its never really been warm since the cowboys did it. If I'm going to town on it I think I'll use better stuff. I have some old duvets, I wonder if they would do?

I've heard that micro scopic threads of rockwool can escape over the years, so I've always avoided that stuff as I've health issues.

I wouldnt  especially as you have health issues,, they could become damp and eject spores and such, its a bit dearer but kingspan phenolic board is probably the best ,or that flexible foilwrapped stuff  http://www.foam-insulation.co.uk/insula ... lation.htm
