Hey guys quick update today, I made up the side exit exhaust today, had to chop the bulkhead to get it to fit.

Quick video:

Next to do is Injectors and pump to see some real power and smoke

Update -

Two weeks ago I did this:

Yellow Spot Injectors

Shortly after I noticed these :(

Cracks in the manifold.... Grrr

Then yesterday the motorcraft starter gave up:

So in with the monster lucas

Then I decided it was time to make a new manifold so I broke the old turbo flange off:

It had cracked before and I welded over the cracks, but it didnt hold very well after that I guess. The turbo was very laggy and didnt come to full boost until 4000 or so.

Next moves are weld up a new manifold with proper cast iron rods and install the new alloy intercooler :)

More photos from today, I made a new manifold similar to the old one, using the same turbo flange but raised up 20mm higher. This makes welding easier and getting the bolts into the head as well. There will be a support bracket made for the turbocharger to take some of the vibration strain from the manifold.

It's lacking a bit lower down alright, I might supercharge it as well to make use of the potential it has in that range
I'm hoping to get more revs at the top end when I modify the accelerator pedal for some extra travel at the pump lever.

Cool I'm in Waterford.

Hi
I like your project :D My experience is with Mercedes IDI engines so I am quite new to DI engines. On a IDI engine 6000+ rpm is no problem  but I will be surprised if you reach 6000 on the DI. ON the Mercedes IDI we never have to change injectors, the stock ones are good for 100hp+ each :D I see that you are always talking about changing injectors so I guess the stock ones are quite restrictive :?
I have a few questions I hope you have time to answer: Does the exhaust clear up when you get boost(any video of your exhaust while driving)? Did you feel some difference with the new injectors? What boost are you running and at what rpm?
Did you install the Citroen IC?
I can try to help you with info on superchargers if you are interested :)
