advice wanted v12 jag lump into a mk2

HI i been offerd a mk2 phase 2 swb with a compleate jag v12 engine box /loom /back axel/ etc the van is just a rolling shell standard axels etc used to have 2.0 pinto in it so before i dive in at the deep end and buy it as clarkson says how hard can it be :shock: :?: as it ever been done and is it poss to be done :?: as the chap selling said he aint got time to compleate it or is it another way of saying its not poss :?: :lol:

is the engine allready fitted to the van :?:

i can only see it fitting mid engined or having the bulkhead cut out :D

how much is the van for sale for :?:

no the engine aint in van its someone who broke up a old jag and was going to fit it in his transit but all he as done is taken engine and box out of transit thats it :( looks like it will be a lot of work he wants £2200 for the lot but if i bought i might sell jag stuff and just put my v6 in it

it'd be a massive job :) depends how much experiance youve got with this sort of thing - a V6 conversion is a good starting project 8) a V12 is one for the more experianced builder :D

ye you right went and had another look this evening and just looking at the jag lump the bulk head would deff have to go or have 10ft bonnet :shock: :lol: so i will nip back in morning se if i can have deal with him :) and just stick to the v6 option

Have a word with Pat in Darlo. He seems to be able to put bollocks on a sausage. Probably done similar before, knowing him.

Well i bought it minus jag stuff so i got a nice clean rolling shell mk2 8) no rot any were but i got to tow it back home i got a trailer ulw 350kgs mgw 1800kgs so does anyone now how hevy a a rolling shell is :?: as got piccaso witch will pull 1200kgs or my sereis 3 landy 3500kgs but that will take 2yrs and £100.000 petrol :lol: :lol: as my lt still at VW :( what will you say was the best get it home only 25 miles away :?: or is it best wating till i get LT back poss tuseday :?:

will deff do when it gets home safley just dont know what is my best option ie tow car or van or landy :? :? :) its all in gray primer insie and out under side engine bay etc what the best engine mounts to use for a v6 not 24v would mk3 ambulance one work :?: or is best to get some made up :?:
